Nodes are stores. What persists.
Labels on the path are compute. What happens in between.
Three stores hold what persists: Record Store, what happened. Reasoning Store, why it means what it means. Trust Store, why it can be defended. Nothing in between is a store. It is compute, ETL and lineage tracking, fairness checks and cataloguing, policy gates and reasoning, doing the work of turning one store's contents into the next store's inheritance. The model sits at the centre only because a decision, eventually, has to be made by something.
